Whether Sonia is sitting across from a client, or working with a group, she is acutely aware that every lived story is unique. With that in mind, she prioritizes compassionate curiosity, cultural humility, and evidence-based practices in her work. As a therapist, she is keen to uncover the spots that cause people distress, gets them stuck, and stirs up the big emotions that seep through their lives. She balances her approach of getting people ‘as well as possible as fast as possible’, with the intention of giving a lot of space for clients to share and explore at a pace that works for them.
